The Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary OVPR center serving the IUB campus. It has three principal missions:

* to promote the fields of genomics and bioinformatics on the Bloomington campus

* to encourage interdisciplinary and interdepartmental cooperation in those and related fields by providing both facilities and intellectual stimulus

* to expand the number of life scientists at IUB by fostering vigorous, extramurally funded research efforts in the Center's multidisciplinary fields
